It’s unusual that the key trade publication will accept an article from a company, rather than writing their own from a press release.
But in our process for Copenhagen communications bureau, Gate21, and the EU-funded NEMO project, we left that door open by writing a long-format feature first, intending for it to be a Linkedin article. Then we distributed the press release and simply mentioned in passing when we chased the presser that we could provide the longer article
